No, absolutely not. The conversion process is like “printing” to PDF. Your original PST, MBOX, MSG, or EML files remain completely untouched and in their original location.

Can I use the free Email Detail Viewer at my office?
The free version is for personal, non-commercial use only. If you wish to use it in any business, government, or organizational setting, you must purchase a commercial license.
How long does it take to convert a large PST file (e.g., 30,000 emails)?
Conversion time depends on the size of the emails and the number and type of attachments. For very large files, we recommend using the “Combine into chunks” option in Email Detail Litigation, which breaks the output into several smaller PDFs (e.g., 500-1000 emails per PDF) for faster and more stable processing.
Can the software create a privilege log?
Yes, Email Detail Litigation can generate privilege logs. After adding your emails to the file list, you can use the reporting features to export a log with metadata (Date, From, To, Subject, etc.) that can be customized for your legal needs.

Can I search for emails from a specific list of people?
Yes, if you are using Email Detail Search. You can create a text file (.txt) where each line is a single email address. Use the “Keywords” button to import this list and search for all emails to or from those addresses in one go.
Which email formats are supported?
